Fort Irwin Driving Directions

Driving east on Airport Drive, turn left onto Archibald Avenue
Bear right onto I-10 East (about 2 miles)
Bear right onto I-15 North (Ontario Freeway) for about 13 miles
Continue on I-15 North (Barstow Freeway, Historic Route 66) for about 55 miles
Take the Fort Irwin exit on the right (this is about 4 miles north of Barstow)
At the stop sign, make a left onto Fort Irwin Road (approximately 31 miles to the Main Gate)
**Please note–you will need to go through the Visitor’s Center in order to receive a day pass. You will need a valid ID/driver’s license, vehicle registration, and proof of insurance. Please plan your time accordingly.
Follow directions below from the Main Gate to the Fort Irwin Event Center, Building 37

Driving from the airport, follow the signs that read “I-15 to I-215/Las Vegas/Henderson via Airport Terminal”
Enter ramp onto Paradise Road for 1 mile
Take exit I-215 West towards Las Vegas/Los Angeles
Take exit 10B onto I-15 South (follow I-15 South for about 141 miles)
Take the Fort Irwin exit on the right (this is the third exit; about 7-8 miles after the Agriculture Check Station)
At the stop sign, make a right onto Fort Irwin Road (approximately 31 miles to the Main Gate)

Follow directions below from the Main Gate to the Fort Irwin Event Center, Building 37

After receiving your Visitor’s pass proceed to the Main Gate with a valid ID/driver’s license
Continue straight on the main road
Make the third left onto Inner Loop Road
Proceed straight through the four way stop sign
Turn right onto Goldstone Road
Turn right at the Fort Irwin Event Center sign and park in the open lot in front of the building
