TECH TALKS – SUITE 4
1100 – 1130 Security, Agility, and Collaboration in Great Power Competition
Presented By:
As the United States shifts from countering terrorism to Great Power Competition, modern military operations increasingly rely on multinational partnerships, coalition forces need secure, agile ways to share information. The Department of Defense (DoD) has developed frameworks like Mission Partner Environments (MPEs) and Combined Joint All-Domain Command and Control (CJADC2) to support collaboration across domains—air, land, sea, cyber, and space. CJADC2 integrates capabilities across allies, enabling them to communicate and coordinate in real-time.
1130 – 1200 Intersection of AI and Security
Presented By:
Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming our world, from the way we work to the way we interact with machines. But with this immense power comes immense responsibility. As AI becomes more sophisticated, so too do the potential security risks.
This session will discuss the critical issues at the intersection of AI and security. The speaker will explore:
• Countering malicious use of AI systems by actors with ill intentions, such as criminals, terrorists, or hostile states.
• Adversarial attacks on AI, such as attempts to fool or manipulate AI systems by exploiting their vulnerabilities or limitations.
• Protection of the massive amounts of data used by AI systems to learn and improve their performance.
• Using AI to enhance cybersecurity, such as preventing cyberattacks, optimizing security processes, and improving security resilience.
1200 – 1230 Plan and Requirements for Fielding Air Base Air Defense Sites at Air Force Installations
Presented By:
This briefing will layout FY25 National Defense Authorization Act as signed into law by the President. It will further brief an Army Exercise BlueHalo participated in which lay out many of these requirements demonstrating how planning for SECAF requirement to field systems at potentially 2 OCONUS sites could be completed and why USAFE should be considered for at least one of these sites.
1230 – 1300 What is RAG and why you should add it into your daily coffee routine
Presented By:
This talk dives into Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), a powerful AI technique that combines the strengths of knowledge retrieval and text generation. Learn how RAG empowers AI systems to access and process vast amounts of information, leading to more accurate, comprehensive, and contextually relevant responses. You’ll gain practical experience in building and deploying RAG-based solutions for various applications, from advanced chatbots and question-answering systems to content creation and knowledge discovery.
